Amazing Thailand Grand Sale

What: You remember the first issue of the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale. Here we go again. “The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale will be dusted off to help rejuvenate tourism and boost the number of visitors following last year’s siege of Bangkok’s airports,” writes the Bangkok Post. Thai Airways, department stores, duty free shops, hotels, resorts, hospitals, spa shops, golf courses, restaurants and amusement parks will join the campaign.

When: To be launched from June to August to stimulate flat tourism. Book your Thailand trip early.

Bangkok Hospital 50% Off Rooms

What: 50% off standard rooms for foreigners that is. Thai nationals can get a room for 100 baht/night – certain conditions apply. Talk about double pricing. Foreigners though get another 50% off medical expenses. Not included are doctor fees, nursery and hospital services.

When: Promotion’s valid until March 31st, 2009.

Bangkok Hospital’s website doesn’t list the promotion, for details you have to call hotline 1719.
