What: Post-crisis bargains start rolling in. Major Cineplex Group is launching “Movie Time Happy Time” campaign, offering moviegoers a special movie ticket price starting from 80 to 120 baht during May 24th to June 02nd, 2010.

During this period, a free bowling game is offered for every two movie ticket.

What: Nice choice of original DVDs, from 88 baht. Why head to Pantip?

Where: At Siam Paragon, between the Nokia and iStudio shops. Not sure how long it lasts though … better head there now.

What: Nothing like the smell of a fresh new book. Just bought Dan Brown’s latest epic and what an event it is to hold a virgin unopened book in one’s hand. If you don’t mind less online reading then the Thai Book Expo 2009 is a wise place to go:

When: Daily until October 25th, 2009, from 10 am to 9 pm at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Expect mostly Thai reading material. Still, Thailand wants to become a learning society. Over 350 booths offer a wide range of quality books at bargain prices. Over to you.
