Book Expo

What: Nothing like the smell of a fresh new book. Just bought Dan Brown’s latest epic and what an event it is to hold a virgin unopened book in one’s hand. If you don’t mind less online reading then the Thai Book Expo 2009 is a wise place to go:

When: Daily until October 25th, 2009, from 10 am to 9 pm at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Expect mostly Thai reading material. Still, Thailand wants to become a learning society. Over 350 booths offer a wide range of quality books at bargain prices. Over to you.

Bangkok’s Best Beer Happy Hour

What: Yes, me loves The Londoner Brew Pub @ Sukhumvit 33. And especially their pub-brewed beer. After getting used to bottled beer in Thailand the pub’s own lager will hook you instantly. Or you may prefer the bitter? And get a second one absolutely free!
