Bangkok Hospital 50% Off Rooms

What: 50% off standard rooms for foreigners that is. Thai nationals can get a room for 100 baht/night – certain conditions apply. Talk about double pricing. Foreigners though get another 50% off medical expenses. Not included are doctor fees, nursery and hospital services.

When: Promotion’s valid until March 31st, 2009.

Bangkok Hospital’s website doesn’t list the promotion, for details you have to call hotline 1719.

TAT’s Cool Breaks

What: An amazing array of cool travel breaks in Thailand – too many to list. Something for every wallet. Thailand’s Tourism Authority TAT has done the homework.

When: Ongoing new “breaks” and promotions, covering all regions and many activities, with a bunch of itineraries and promotions.

Oishi Express Buffet

What: If you’re into sushi and sashimi and such Oishi Express Buffet is quite a deal. But believe it or not: couldn’t find out the exact price. Paid 387 baht, whereas Oishi marketing insists it’s 299 baht a head plus 17% tax and service charge. Go figure.

Where: Only in Oishi’s Rangsit, Major Pinklao, Bic C Petchkasem and Thonglor branches.

The only deal breaker: no tuna sashimi. If raw tuna is your thing you’ll have to head to Oishi’s other, regular branches, such as Paholyothin. And, as the name says, you’ll have to finish your food and leave your table within 90 minutes.
